Many of the resources are free and can be readily shared with community bank customers. FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION ID THEFT RESOURCES AVAILABLE The Federal Trade Commission developed an education program—called AvoID Theft: Deter, Detect, Defend—to help consumers and businesses avoid becoming victims of identity theft. The program’s materials include a victim recovery guide, compliance information for businesses, a training booklet and a 10-minute information video.
